Finding the time to work out can be draining in it’s self, especially if you’re busy with work/home/family things can really take over & leave you with little, to no time for exercising. We all have priorities, but our health & self care is pretty important too! So stop putting yourself on the back burner & take control!

Here are my favorite ways to exercise that don’t feel like exercise –
What the squat??
Did you know in the time it takes to brush your teeth (2mins approx) you could have burned up to 11 calories just by squatting?? Use those 2 minutes to press out some gentle squats & get those legs in shape, whilst keeping those pearly whites, white!
Cleaning is a great source of exercise & when teamed with music, it’s easy to get into the groove without realising you’re working out, wash those windows, & dance like nobody is watching, hoover that floor like Mrs Doubtfire & burn those calories! 10 minutes of general housework can burn around 32 calories!
Kitchen Barre – Channel your inner Ballerina!
Barre workouts are known for improving posture, muscle definition, weight loss, increased flexibility and reduced stress. So use the perfect place in the home to get your Barre body – Your Kitchen! Work tops are the perfect height & you can do these excersises while making dinner! 15 minutes of Barre training will burn approximately 128 calories.
Pacing the floors
How much do we sit on the phone & chat? Let’s use that time to burn some fat so not only our chins are getting a workout 😀 Taking a 20min call while pacing around the home, the work place or just strolling down the street can burn around 71 calories.
Who cares if there’s stairs?
Need to go to the 2nd floor? CLIMB those steps!! If you live in or work in a place that has stairs, utilise those bad boys! Maybe you want to go shopping at the mall, don’t just stand on those escalators, CLIMB them! You can burn up to 48 calories in 5 minutes of stair climbing, so what are you waiting for?
Wiggle to success
Power walking is another great way to tighten those buns & loose some weight! You can burn 20 calories in 5 minutes of power walking, don’t worry about knocking people outta the way while you swing those hips & bag, it’s all part of the process! – Move it or loose it sister!!
On yer bike!
Yes, that’s what you need to do! Get on a bike & cycle!! This may take some commitment, but once you change to cycling, you’ll ask yourself why you didn’t sooner! A 20-minute bike ride to work, as part of your routine, will give your body a complete workout. As well as toning muscles in your legs, thighs and calves! The average person can burn 264 calories in 20minutes! – Need I say more?
With these little changes in our usual day to day routine, we can work out, without ACTUALLY working out! No more excuses! I don’t want to hear it!
