So have you noticed it? The soothing images are all over Pinterest & I can’t stop pervin’ over them!!

I am a MAJOR home decor fiend, I’ve always had a passion for interior design, decorating & home designing since I was a little girl, my father was a decorator, so were my uncles.
I remember them taking me to work with them as a kid to Virgin Studios (Had no idea who Richard Branson was at the time) but I loved what they were doing with the place & from then my love for all things design began! My drawing skills were never good though, so I soon gave up any hope of ever being an interior designer & later went for web design instead.

I’m not sure what it is, but home decor really soothes me, I can spend hours on Pinterest perving over the lush interiors & cool stuff (the name of one of my boards) & at the moment I am loving anything and everything in the color blush pink! Especially when it’s teamed up with grey *drool* From vintage glassware, to velvet pillows, to Mason jars, everything looks great in blush! (yes that includes my blush pink blog! :P)

The shops are full with copper/blush tones teamed with geometric shapes and grays at the moment… hubba hubba!! 😍
So here’s a rundown of what I’m obsessed with & where to find a more thrifty version!!

Cushions are an excellent way of introducing a splash of colour to your room’s theme, especially if your palette is based mostly on neutral tones. Soft accessories are perfect for experimenting, unlike large furnishings, they are easy to change if you tire of the bright colours!

Candles, no matter your decor style, candles are the perfect accessory for any room. They not only smell amazing, but they’re also a great way to compliment the surroundings leaving everything looking cosy and relaxed.

Wall Art be mindful of your other design elements, to keep the blush looking more sophisticated rather than “teen room” girlie. Try pairing blush tones with smoky grays, and shimmering coppers, to avoid your living room looking like a teenager took over!

Rugs are an easy way to update any living room, bedroom or hallway. Adding a splash of colour or a burst of pattern will lift the mood of any colour scheme, only problem is deciding to choose plain or patterned.

You don’t need to worry about blush being too feminine, once you team it up with some smoky “manly” grey’s it gives the colour a more contemporary modern feel. If you’re only changing your accessories, why not be brave? It’s easily changeable so no worries you can stay up to date with the next trend!
These are my favorite finds in the sea that is blush on the internet right now!
What better way to stay on trend & save pennies while doing so?

What do you think of this colour scheme? Would you add another colour to the pallete, or totally switch it up? Can you see this in your place? What are your favourite colours at the moment? Let me know in the comments below & don’t forget to share!

Love this colour scheme and love cushions – I’m obsessed actually with them- and also have recently discovered how amazing Yankee candles are. So they’re my new love too. I always worry about blush colours getting dirty but I love the way you have added them

Beautiful. I love it. I’m glad you can do some interior designing on the side even if it’s not your profession. Do what you love sis.

Candles are my best friend and I am lucky that they’re also my mum best friend as she never fails to pick a couple of for herself and me and my sister when on her weekly shop! Alhumdulilah for mothers!
