Tips To Skyrocket Your Blog Traffic From Pinterest!

Tips Skyrocket Blog Traffic Pinterest Free Tricks Hacks ThrifDeeDubai

When I first started blogging, I read what felt like a million & one blog articles on “how to get traffic from Pinterest” I was sick of seeing bloggers talk about how their blog traffic was sky high & they were making “$XYZ” amounts from their blogs!….

For months I searched. Looking for some secret formula that would make Pinterest work for me! To no avail, every single post was a sales pitch for Boardbooster or Tailwind. I needed a solution, I was not about to invest more money into my blog as my funds could not stretch that far, putting more money into my blog was not an option So I took things into my own hands! & I decided to do Pinterest without paying for a subscription to a scheduler.

To skyrocket your blog traffic from Pinterest you’ll want to do a few things first – If you want to join a big ad network to begin making money from your blog, you’ll need a set amount of steady blog traffic per month. That’s not going to happen on it’s own! You need to pour your heart & soul into your blog, not just your articles, a LOT of this blogging malarkey is promoting!! I didn’t realise, if you don’t actively promote 247, you’re going to get lost in a sea of blogs! The best way to get your blog seen & popular is our little friend Pinterest! I’m sure you’ve read a lot of blog posts all offering the same thing (making your traffic explode & making your blog go viral) but they all seem to wind up in at the same place – purchasing a subscription or E-Book promising you a miraculous way to get your blog booming!

Free Automatic Scheduling

Don’t get me wrong, these strategies can work! But I’ve tried Boardbooster & Tailwind & I really did not like all the “work” I had to do, scheduling pins weekly!
Ain’t nobody got time fo dat!! I needed something that was going to work for me, do the deed while I take care of other things, Tailwind & Boardbooster did neither, because I had to keep on going back in & rescheduling!

I began researching other options, thus I turned to my new friend IFTTT I was already using it to pin straight from my Instagram & tweet too, I wondered if there was a way I could get it to somehow pin for me without me having to worry about it.

I USED PINTEREST TO GAIN 120K PAGE VIEWS TO MY BLOG PER MONTH WITH NO TAILWIND & NO BOARD BOOSTER!

The applet I came across would not only change my blog traffic forever, it would help me understand Pinterest that little bit more & gain a steady source of traffic to my site & in turn subscribers/buyers in the future! You can check out the full post Here. Once I did this it was easy to begin fine tuning my profile, you can too –

Begin by looking at your Pinterest profile & ask yourself some questions –

How Relevant?

Your Pinterest profile needs to be relevant, if you’re wanting to promote your blog via Pinterest, you’ll want it to target your niche audience…. if you’re a blog about mental health for instance, it makes no sense having boards about playdough recipes for kids because this isn’t what your target audience is searching for.

Have boards that entice your target audience. Your first board should be your own blog board, that’s all your posts/pins in one board named after your blog (with a blog description & link preferably) You’ll want to make other boards that interest your readers. So if you’re a lifestyle blog, make boards around things you usually write about on your blog. Don’t worry, you can still hang on to all those other boards, just make them “secret” so they won’t show up in your profile!

What Content Are You Repinning?

People usually find your profile because you’re repinning great content (not just your own) pinterest ranks your profile higher if you repin quality content, which in turn benefits you because it draws in readers to delve into your profile & that’s when they’ll notice your own stuff! 😉

Do you have Consistency With Your Branding?

ThrifDeeDubai Pinterest Profile Branding Consistency

This is totally optional, but I find having consistent cover images/branding on a Pinterest profile, that much more inviting! If I come across a profile that has taken the time to add relevant images & named/branded them after the board names, I am 99% more inclined to follow you, because I see you care a bit more about the content you’re pinning because you’ve taken the time to “pimp” your profile & make it more digestible for your readers. Nothing worse than finding a profile because you’ve liked what they’ve pinned, only to find the profile is a hot mess, no consistency you’re not sure what subjects the boards are about & you end up backing out because it isn’t what you thought it would be!

Are You In Pinterest Group Boards?

This is something that is a given, there’s 100% more eyes looking at your pins if you’re repinning them into groups! (cue my group plug) here – TheViralCollective Not only will you benefit from joining group boards for promotion purposes, but you’ll also come across some pretty awesome bloggers who are willing to help out a fellow blogger!
