#1 Gift

Before Dubai & (ThrifDeeDubai) I was a teacher back home in the UK, over my years teaching, I have received some amazing gifts & I’ve also received gifts that just, well kinda cluttered my living space! Although I loved each & every gift!! Talking to other teachers, the top gifts are usually something heartfelt, home made by the children, but the unanimous agreement for their top wanted gifts is pretty simple to guess! – Giftcards!! They are a one-size fits all, can’t go wrong gift option that works for everyone!

Bribe them with sugar!

Who doesn’t love a selection of yummy edibles to get stuck into? Giving sweets/chocolate doesn’t just work on kids! Us adults like a treat or FIVE too!

Scents & sensibility

Teachers are usually sensible beings right? So gifting them with some scented goodies is usually a welcomed gift! Especially when they are wrapped beautifully! Just perfect for relaxing, rejuvenating and regaining sanity at the end of the year! 😛

Diffusing the subject

After a year of craft glue, sports kit and squashed sandwiches, the poor teacher deserves a heavenly scent at home! So gift them something that makes their home smell divine!

Fix their FIX!

One can only assume that teachers get through the day courtesy of a lot of caffeine, so help them out with a personalised gift set or mug & show your appreciation, while they appreciate the caffeine 🙂

Rumor has it….

That teachers are really into stationary! Who’d have thought?? These swanky pens & BUJO journal sets will have them planning out the next school year before the summer holidays kick in! …. Ok, maybe not, but they still make a pretty awesome gift!

So now you know what teachers really want, you can spend less time worrying what to gift them & also spend less money & keep it thrifty! – Win win!

Have you decided to give yours, or your children’s teacher a gift this end of term? If so, is there any gifts you think should be added to this list? Let me know in the comments below & don’t forget to share!!
