The best tips on how to increase your productivity in 7 easy steps. Lifestyle hacks, time saving planning getting your life together. Lifestyle tips, Time planning. Timetable Bujo Planning Time Saving Me Time

I’m the queen of procrastination, It really is a bad thing to suffer from (yes procrastination is an illness, or so I like to think) 😛
That’s why I have one day to get most of the things done that usually needs doing during the week. By making my week more manageable Then I’m not so stressed out by Monday. Designating a day makes me so much more productive & I have time for the important things because smaller, time consuming tasks are out of the way.

Sometimes it can feel like there’s not enough time in the day. Time management skills are very important if you want to be productive. If you feel like you never have enough time like me, then you’ll want to follow my awesome list of 7 things I do on a Sunday that gets the rest of the week sorted!

Most of us see Sunday as a day of rest, I think I found this much easier living in the UAE because Sunday there is actually the first day of the week! So it was much easier for me to use this day as my start point of productivity!

Now, you don’t have to cram all of these items into your Sunday routine. It can be a lot to do in one day. So I suggest choosing a few important ones that’ll help make the rest of the week that much easier. Test a few to see which ones work best.

#1 Plan ahead –

Manage your time.
Jot down a quick list of the things you need to get done Once you write out your list, highlight your top priorities & plan your day around them.

For me, when concentrating on blogging, some daily priorities would include –

  • Writing/researching blog posts
  • Scheduling social media
  • Creating graphics

Once you’ve picked at least 3 top priorities, write them down in your Bujo or planner so you don’t forget about them. I use a few apps to make sure I’m staying on track.

My Echo Dot/Amazon Alexa is great for keeping me on track & reminding me of things during the day. IFTTT is another great tool for automating things throughout the day/week & couldn’t be without it when it comes to setting up my Pinterest & time saving with other socials, more about that later! Boosted Productivity a relatively new app, but it really is an amazing tool to keep you on track. You can put in what projects you want to accomplish & it times you to see how long you take. For instance, I can spend way more time than needed on making graphics, but with Boosted I can see exactly how much time I’m using on a specific task on my timeline & manage it better next time.

#2 Use a social media scheduler. If you’re a blogger or business owner, it’s hard to find the time to constantly create & schedule content for social media. You don’t want to lose interaction with your followers, but you also don’t want to spend all of your time updating your socials when you can use that time to reply & interact. So to keep your socials active, having a social media scheduler like Buffer, IFTTT or Hootsuite is a lifesaver. Leaving you more time to do other tasks.

#3 Go over your calendar for the week ahead.
Do you have important appointments, emails that need to be written, after school commitments that you must go to? Take a quick look over your calendar & see what’s coming up during the week & highlight which ones are of the most importance.

Around the home –

#4 Slaying that morning routine. My morning routine is basically a rush to get my youngest up & ready for school, few stretches, take my medicine with my Alkaline Water & getting ready for the day. Morning routines set the tone for the rest of your day. If you have no routine, it’s about time you started!

#5 Flattening out for the week As much as I hate ironing, I find doing most of my clothes in advance not only saves me so much time in the mornings, it also gives me an idea of what I’ll wear for the week. School uniforms, shirts & any other work/school clothing can be all done if you set a time. I like to do it while catching up on a series on TV – not all doom & gloom! 🙂

#6 Meal prepping for the week ahead will save you so much time in the long run, instead of coming home to cook your food in a rush, it’s already prepared so all you have to do is grab & go. I use a pressure cooker to save time. I love using a pressure cooker because they are so simple to use & give full flavour to everything. I have a Pressure King Pro & I just throw all my ingredients in there & let the king do all the work in a fraction of the time.

#7 Take Care of Yourself

Me time should be a priority. So take some time to treat yourself to a pamper sesh, because like most of us, we just about get the time to brush our hair during the week, let alone anything else! So run that bubble bath, do that mani-pedi give yourself a face mask….

Rest well This is so so important. If you’re not well rested it can have a negative affect on you. So see this as a vital importance to get a decent amount of sleep. By going to bed early on Sunday, you’ll wake up refreshed & ready for the week ahead.

I’m not saying all of these can be done in any one Sunday, we all have other things, kids & lifestyles that does not give us the extra time to get these done. But even if you just choose the bare minimum from the list you make. You will see how much simpler & less stressful your week will become.

Hey you! Do you have some productivity tips to add to this list? If so let me know in the comments below & don’t forget to share!

Me time get SO overlooked when it comes to productivity! I mean you’re not getting your laundry list of to-do’s done if you’re spending time relaxing and self-caring.. but if you don’t take the time to take care of yourself then you will get super burned out and not be able to get ANYTHING done! And I am a useless emotional mess without the proper rest! Great tips! Also love that week chalk board!
